ESL
The ESL application — code only. The ESL book (cedents' treaties, policies, cash flows, claims and
submissions; the brokers) lives in one top-level partition per company, never here; the ESL
team's documents live in EslTeam.

EslOffice |
the sync with EslOffice, the external medical stop-loss system: import its SQL Server rows into the reinsurance model and export the model back as an idempotent SQL MERGE script |
Import the EslOffice medical stop-loss database (SQL Server) into the standard reinsurance model, and export the model back to EslOffice.
| EslOffice | Model |
|---|---|
| carriers | Reinsurance/Cedent |
| treaties + specific layer quota share | Reinsurance/Treaty + Reinsurance/ModelledReinsuranceSection |
| stop-loss policies | Reinsurance/Acceptance |
| premium bordereaux, reimbursements | Reinsurance/Cashflow (per treaty and quarter) |
| specific and aggregate claims | Claims/Claim, the Claims/Register claims book |
| producers | Reinsurance/Broker |
| underwriting cases and quote options | Underwriting/Submission + option Reinsurance/Acceptance |
The mapping runs in the mesh, both directions (Esl/EslOffice/Source); every field and every lossy spot is in the package's Mapping.md.
The rows are moved by the connector next to the database (ESLOffice/connector, esl-sync): extract writes the rows an import run maps,
apply runs the MERGE script an export run files. A connection names where its connection string lives (Key Vault secret, configuration key) —
never the value.
Re-running an import updates in place; an export touches only rows whose columns differ.
Layout: one top-level partition per company. Each cedent (carrier) and each broker (producer) gets its own partition (a Space), named from the company — Lone Star Mutual Insurance Company → LoneStarMutual: a cedent's holds its Profile, Treaties/, Policies/, Cashflows/, Claims/ with its ClaimsBook register, and Submissions/; a broker's its Profile. A new partition gets the access of EslTeam (the ESL team's group). Nothing is written under Esl — that namespace holds code only. The EslOffice keys of every node are kept in {partition}/EslKeys.
Underwriting
One page over the medical stop-loss submissions imported from EslOffice — across the cedents' partitions (LoneStarMutual/Submissions, PacificCrest/Submissions, EmpireBenefit/Submissions).
Pick a scope, type to narrow, open a submission: its Overview, Structure, Tower, Compliance,
Economics, ClaimsCompare and Offer views come from the Underwriting package.
| Tab | Shows |
|---|---|
| Pipeline | received, under assessment and quoted |
| Offers out | quoted, the offer with the group's producer |
| Under assessment | received and under assessment |
| Bound | sold |
| Declined & lost | declined, not taken up |
| Renewals / New business | by relationship |
| All | the whole book |
The tabs share one search bar, so a term you type follows you across them. Quote options
lists every deductible option offered, one row each, a tab per cedent. Book overview (Esl/Underwriting/Submissions/Book) sums the book live by cedent and by treaty — premium, paid losses, open reserve, loss ratio — with the pipeline and the brokers; it is a view, nothing is stored under Esl.
Data: ESLOffice/tools/esl_to_mesh.py in this repository. Nothing here is PartnerRe data until
the import runs against the real EslOffice.
